Overview

Geffen Night Arena is a high-level memorial dungeon based on an illicit midnight version of the Geffen Magic Tournament. Challengers battle through ten timed rounds whose opponents become dramatically stronger as the tournament progresses.

After clearing a round, the party may continue fighting or stop and claim the accumulated reward. Losing to the timer forfeits the run's rewards, so knowing when to withdraw is an important part of the arena.

Entrance and Instance Creation

  1. Reach Base Level 210.
  2. Create or join a party.
  3. Travel to /navi geffen_in 82/62
  4. The party leader must speak with the Greedy Looking Man.
  5. Accept his request to investigate the hidden arena.
  6. You will be warped infront of the portal entrance.
  7. Use the dimensional portal to enter Geffen Night Arena.
  8. Inside the arena, approach the Greedy Looking Man standing at the northern part of the arena.
  9. Speak with him to begin the first round.

Only the party leader can start rounds and decide whether the party continues or claims its reward. Party members should therefore remain together and coordinate before the leader speaks to the host.

Arena Rules

Geffen Night Arena interior
  • The tournament consists of ten rounds.
  • Rounds 1 through 9 select a random opponent from the arena roster.
  • Opponents may repeat because selection is random for every round.
  • Round 10 always features Midnight Fenrir.
  • Each opponent must be defeated within 60 seconds.
  • The opponent's maximum HP is determined by the current round.
  • After a successful round, speak with the host to continue or claim the accumulated reward.
  • Rewards are given to every party member still present inside the instance when the party cashes out.
  • If the timer expires, the run ends and its accumulated rewards are forfeited.

Strategy

Before Entering

  • Prepare consumables before creating the instance.
  • Ensure every party member is ready before entering because the cooldown begins upon entry.
  • Use equipment capable of handling several different races and elements because rounds 1–9 are randomized.
  • Plan around the enormous HP increase beginning with round 5.

During the Tournament

  • Stay ready near the center before starting the next round.
  • Prioritize damage uptime because every opponent has the same 60-second limit.
  • Decide whether to continue before the leader speaks with the host.
  • Cash out if the next HP tier is beyond the party's reliable one-minute damage output.
  • Save major cooldowns and burst consumables for rounds 8–10.

Midnight Fenrir

Midnight Fenrir has 1,416,300,000 HP and receives only 10% of normal damage. The party therefore needs considerably more effective damage than the displayed HP suggests. Coordinate burst windows and avoid entering the final round unless the party has comfortably cleared round 9.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the same opponent appear twice?
Yes. Opponents in rounds 1–9 are independently selected at random, so repeats are normal.
Does the arena start automatically after entering?
No. Speak with the Greedy Looking Man inside the arena to begin the first round.
How do I begin the next round?
Speak with the arena host after defeating the current opponent, then select the option to continue.
When should I claim my rewards?
Claim them after a successful round when the party is not confident that it can defeat the next HP tier within 60 seconds.
What happens if the timer expires?
The run fails and its accumulated rewards are forfeited.
Can the party receive rewards together?
Yes. Every party member who remains inside the instance when the leader cashes out receives the reward.
When does the cooldown begin?
The cooldown begins when a character enters Geffen Night Arena.
Why can I not immediately enter again after leaving with a teleport command?
Entering applies the cooldown. Leaving through a command does not cancel the cooldown or properly finish the active instance.
