Creating the Instance
Speak with Sierra at Yuno 216, 345.
The party leader must select:
Reserve Battle Mode
Enter Battle Mode
After the instance has been reserved, every participating party member must speak with Sierra and select Enter Battle Mode .

Players who have completed the instance recently cannot reserve another instance until their 23-hour cooldown expires.
Starting the Investigation
After entering the instance, the party will arrive beside Sierra in the laboratory's starting room.

The party leader must speak with Sierra and select:
Begin the investigation
The entire party will then be transported to the first combat sector.

Sector 1 – Laboratory Security

The first sector contains 14 enemies :

Defeat every enemy to proceed.
After the final enemy is defeated, the party is automatically transported to Sector 2.
Sector 2 – Experimental Subjects

The second sector contains 25 enemies .
This area introduces the Unknown Acolyte alongside the laboratory guards and scientists.

Defeat all enemies to advance.
Sector 3 – Reinforced Security

The third sector contains 20 enemies .
The party will face another combination of guards, scientists, and Unknown Acolytes.
Defeat every enemy to open the route to the darkened laboratory sector.
Sector 4 – Darkened Laboratory

The fourth sector contains 20 enemies .
Visibility throughout this section is poor, and enemies are positioned around multiple sides of the room.
Defeat all enemies to enter the containment facility.
Containment Facility
The containment facility consists of four consecutive security groups.
After defeating each group, a containment crystal will appear. The party must activate the crystal before the next group can be accessed.
Containment Group 1

The first containment group contains 12 enemies .
After defeating them, the First Containment Crystal appears.

Activate the crystal and select:
Deactivate the barrier
This removes the first barrier and activates the second containment group.
Containment Group 2

The second containment group contains 12 enemies .
Defeat every enemy, then activate the Second Containment Crystal .

Activating the crystal transports the party toward the third containment area.

After defeating the group, activate the Third Containment Crystal .

The party will be transported to the final containment area.
Containment Group 4

The final containment group contains 16 enemies .
After every enemy has been defeated, the Fourth Containment Crystal appears.

Deactivate it to remove the final containment barrier.
Elite Sector

The party must defeat 18 enemies , including:

After the sector has been cleared, the party proceeds to the final laboratory defense area.
Final Security Wave

The final security wave contains 20 enemies .
Defeat all enemies to unlock the entrance to the morgue.
The party will automatically be transported to the second instance map when the final enemy is defeated.

Speak with Sierra inside the morgue.
Only the party leader can begin the final encounter.
Before continuing, ensure that every party member is present and fully prepared.

Property
The Unknown Swordsman uses powerful melee attacks and can damage or disable defensive equipment.
Recommended preparations include:
Fire resistance
Demi-Human resistance
High neutral resistance
Equipment protection
Reliable healing and recovery items

After the Unknown Swordsman is defeated, the reward chest and Sierra will appear.
Rewards
EDDA Weapon Chest

Each character may open the reward chest once per instance.
The chest grants one random EDDA Biolab weapon .
The player's carried weight and inventory capacity must both be below 90%.
The weapon is placed directly into the player's inventory.

Completion Rewards
Speak with Sierra after defeating the Unknown Swordsman.

The 23-hour cooldown begins when the completion rewards are claimed.
Speak with Sierra again and select Leave the laboratory to return to Yuno.

Only an eligible EDDA Biolab weapon equipped in the player's right hand can be enchanted.
Cards, refinement, enchant grade, and existing random options are preserved when the enchantment succeeds.
EDDA enchantments cannot be removed or rerolled.
The fourth slot must be enchanted before the third slot.

General Enchantment consumes fewer materials but can permanently destroy the weapon.

Important Notes
Battle Mode requires Base Level 170.
A party is required.
Only the party leader can reserve and begin the instance.
The instance lasts for 60 minutes.
The completion cooldown is 23 hours.
Players must keep their weight and inventory usage below 90% when receiving rewards.
Every character can claim only one random weapon per instance.
Every character can claim the completion materials once per instance.
General Enchantment can permanently destroy the weapon.
Advanced Enchantment cannot destroy the weapon.
EDDA enchantments cannot be reset or rerolled.
Expedition Mode is not currently available.
