Enter the forgotten royal tomb, release its wandering souls, and confront Princess Tiara and Magic Swordsman Sakray.

Overview

Tomb of Remorse is a high-level party instance in which adventurers explore the ruined royal palace, defeat its undead inhabitants, recover fragments of its history, and bring its cursed residents their long-awaited rest.

Starting the Quest

Princess of Remorse at dali 124, 88.
  1. Travel to dali (124, 88) with a Base Level 220 or higher character.
  2. Approach the Princess of Remorse and accept her request.
  3. Follow her to dali (79, 112) and listen to the history of the fallen palace.
  4. Continue to dali02 (78, 116) and speak with her again.
  5. Form a party. The party leader must speak to the Princess to create Tomb of Remorse.
  6. After creation, select Enter Tomb of Remorse.

The introductory story quests only need to be completed once per character. Later visits can be started from the Princess in dali02 after the cooldown expires.

Instance Walkthrough

Stage 1: The Sleeping Palace

After entering, the party leader must move across the starting area to begin the encounter. Undead soldiers, archers, magicians, nobles, and servants will appear throughout the western section.

Defeat every group and its reinforcements. When all five areas are cleared, the northern passage opens.

Featured monsters: Undead Soldier, Undead Archer, Undead Magician, Undead Noble, and Undead Servant.

Stage 2: Princess Tiara

Proceed through the newly opened passage and clear the undead groups in the throne-room section. After all three groups are defeated, Princess Tiara appears.

Defeat Princess Tiara to open the secret passage on the left side of the throne. A memory piece also becomes available in this area.

Stage 3: The Royal Tomb

Enter the secret passage and clear all six monster groups inside the underground royal tomb. Once the area is secure, the route to the final chamber opens.

Featured monsters: Undead Knight, Undead Soldier, Undead Archer, Undead Wizard, Undead Magician, and Undead Noble.

Final Stage: Magic Swordsman Sakray

Enter the final chamber and approach Sakray. After the dialogue, Magic Swordsman Sakray becomes hostile.

During the battle, three magic pillars appear and Sakray becomes immune to damage. Interact with and destroy all three pillars to remove his protection. The pillar phase can repeat until Sakray is defeated.

After defeating Sakray, speak with the Marquis of Remorse before leaving if you accepted any side quests.

Memory Pieces and Fragments

The instance contains optional story objects that reveal the history of the palace.

These objectives must be turned in to the Marquis inside the instance before leaving. Progress objects cannot be carried outside the dungeon.

Tips

  • Bring Holy resistance and protection against status effects.
  • Do not leave immediately after defeating Sakray if you have unfinished memory or fragment quests.
  • During Sakray's immunity phase, prioritize the three magic pillars.
  • The instance is designed for a party even if a highly equipped character can defeat its monsters alone.
